​Opportunity to Bid: Subcontractor Proposals Invited for Northside Lofts Redevelopment in Aledo, Illinois ​

Growth General Contracting, LLC is inviting qualified subcontractors to submit proposals for the redevelopment of the historic Northside Lofts located at 205 N. College Avenue, Aledo, Illinois. This adaptive reuse project will transform a former school building into 30 rental housing units, combining preservation of historic architecture with new construction. 

The project includes full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing replacement, demolition of non-historic structures, and construction of a new wing. Trades needed include Electrical, Painting, Plumbing, HVAC, Site Work, Paving, Carpentry, and related services. 

Proposal Deadline: November 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM 
Bidders’ Meetings: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. October 16, 23, 30, at 205 N. College Avenue, Aledo, IL 61231  
Questions Submission Deadline: November 3, 2025, 12:00 p.m.

This is a historic, adaptive reuse project subject to oversight by the National Park Service and the Illinois Department of Historic Preservation. All work must comply with approved historic rehabilitation plans and preservation standards. Additionally, the project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA). All materials used- including iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials- must meet domestic sourcing requirements.
