GROWTH is a HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agency that can provide advice on buying a home and credit issues. GROWTH provides enhanced access to its programs and financial services that include the following programs:
GROWTH has four HUD certified housing counselors on staff to assist anyone in need of financial education, housing counseling, and foreclosure prevention services. GROWTH has offers pre-purchase and post-purchase counseling, foreclosure prevention counseling, owner-occupied rehabilitation programs, purchase-rehabilitation programs and other down payment and closing cost assistance programs. Foreclosure Prevention GROWTH was awarded Foreclosure Prevention Program Funds that provides enhanced counseling services for those that are at risk of foreclosure. Foreclosure Prevention Program funds are used to increase GROWTH’s capacity to provide foreclosure prevention outreach and housing counseling, specifically assisting in the following areas:
Homebuyer Education GROWTH offers pre-purchase counseling and homebuyer education workshops to ensure that the homebuyer is entering the home-buying process with your eyes wide open. Attending a one-day homebuyer education class is required for all homebuyers purchasing through any one of GROWTH’s homebuyer programs. In most cases, the class must be taken by the homebuyer(s) prior to making an offer on a home. In all cases, the class must be completed by the homebuyer prior to closing. - 2022 classes will be held in a hybrid format, offering both online and very limited in-person seating.
- Please contact our office at least one day before the class so a webinar link may be emailed to you.
- Participants will need an email address and an internet connection to watch the webinar and ask questions. A smartphone, computer, tablet is sufficient.
- If internet service is not available, participants may call into the webinar and listen only.
